Traveling is an experience and a feeling that gives happiness to everyone. In today’s world, most of the time people travel for work but there is another category of people, who like to travel to learn new things and share cultures. Traveling helps in personal growth, most of the time you’ll find travelers to be the most open minded people. Our planet is very big and beautiful, there are so many countries who are still untouched by the civilization and still holds the primitive side of human existence. Few of the best places to travel exist in the most remote locations. There are plenty of places in South America, Africa, West Asia, and South East Asia. Traveling can be done via land, sky, or air. Some prefer to travel by air because it is quick and easy. Some like the sea more and prefer to take a commercial sail. Then there are automobile lovers. People who enjoy the journey as much as the destination, these people travel via local transports or cars or bikes. Road trips are more fun in my opinion as they give you the real feel of the place you are traveling. South East Asia is a perfect destination to experience the wild and free nature of a road trip. There are five countries in South East Asia which are connected by road. They are:
Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand - Malaysia - Singapore
Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand - Malaysia - Singapore
The Route

Vietnam
Vietnam coffee is awesome, not many people know that. It is a very budget friendly destination. Vietnam has breathtaking landscapes. The local cuisines are delicious, beaches are amazing, and people are very friendly. Traveling to Vietnam is easy due to its tourist friendly visa norms. You can start your bus journey from Ho Chi Minh (Saigaon) in Vietnam and follow the route via Tay ninh – Krong kampon – Stoung – Prasat Bakong to finally reach Siem reap in Cambodia. Due to its dusty road condition and hilly roads, it will take around 12 hours for the complete journey.
Cambodia
The primitiveness of Cambodia is still preserved. Cambodia recently became open for the rest of the world after a long time. It is safe to travel into Cambodia now. Cambodia has really ancient temples and beautiful unexplored beaches, and natural attractions. To go to Thailand you will have to take a bus from Siem reap which will take you to Bangkok in Thailand from Krong poi pet, SA Kaeo, and Chachoengsao. The total time taken for this journey is around 8 hours.
Thailand
Beaches beaches beaches, tuk-tuk, street food, spas, nightlife, tiger temple, elephant shows, and martial arts the list will go on and on for a long time. It is a must visit the country if you are coming to South East Asia. The longest trail you will make by bus is from Thailand to Malaysia. It will take around 23 hours to reach Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok. Even though the journey is longer the cost for the trip is $ 25, which is an average ticket price to travel cross country in South East Asia.
Malaysia
The advertisement for Malaysian tourism says "Malaysia Truly Asiaâ€. I agree with that completely. It is a host to different cultures and religions. Malaysia has preserved its wildlife and is full of rain forests, beautiful coral reefs, and different species of trees. Malaysia also has its own Formula One Malaysia Grand Prix. Of course Beaches again.
Singapore
To end the journey in one of the best places in Southeast Asia is important as you’ll get back to the civilization. Singapore is one of the cleanest and developed places in Southeast Asia. It has some beautiful historical places and sea life. This place will help you get back to those city lights and restaurants for dinner. For your final destination in Singapore, you will need to travel for around 6 hours from Kuala Lumpur covering Petaling Java, Negeri Sembilan, Tangkak, Yong Peng, and Johor. Singapore is an expensive place and average day trip costs around $ 40.
All of these cities and countries are insanely beautiful and people are very friendly. If you will look to nature you will find it but not good roads, roads will be dusty and rides will be bumpy. This road trip will be a life-changing experience for you. So go on and ride the roads of South East Asia.
